What We Offer
The Migrant Education Health Services Program provides necessary health intervention services to our most at-risk Migrant children and youth, in order to support their attendance and success in school. Health care services include:
- Acute medical, dental and vision care.
- Annual vision, dental, hearing adn diabetes screenings.
- Health awareness workshops in preventative dental care, health and nutrition.
- Referrals to local health care providers, child/youth health insurance programs and other community health and social service resources.
- Advocacy for access to health care services.
Who's Eligible
- You must be identified as a Migrant student
- Be enrolled in the program and be receiving educational services
- In need of acute health care services
Families who are not enrolled in other programs, such as Medi-Cal, CHDP, Healthy Families, Employer Sponsored Insurance, Cal Kids Program, or similar programs, may apply for assistance from Migrant Education.
