Desired Results Developmental Profile-Revised (DRDP-R)
Teachers use a naturalistic, observation-based instrument called the Desired Results Developmental Profile-Revised or DRDP-R to conduct the assessments. The DRDP-R allows teachers to track progress over time using anecdotal notes and children's work samples. It also assists teachers with informing parents on their child's progress while helping to set the stage for future lesson planning.
The DRDP-R has five distinct developmental levels that describe a child's growth from the earliest stage, Not Yet, to the mastery stage, Intergrating. A child is advanced to the next level when he/she consistently expresses or performs actions and/or activities with ease and confidence in different settings of the classroom.
The following provide a snapshot of progress made by children from Fall to Spring.
